BUSY MONTH FOR ZERO KIT COLLECTIONS & ANOTHER ON THE ROAD….

April has started off as a very busy month for Zero kit collections, last week we had Michael Galjardt come and collect his new starter kit that he ordered earlier this year at the Autosport International Show. The workshops currently also busy with installation work to several Zero chassis’s before kit collections, more collections are scheduled for the next few weeks. We offer several factory fitting services with the Zero kit options which are often popular, the factory fittings that we offer are side panels bonded, installation of chassis harness, brake pipes and fuel lines and many more options.

Its also nice to hear that another customers GBS Zero has recently gone through the IVA test and currently in the process of being registered.  Chris Mitchell from South-West Wales collected his GBS Zero Ford Kit from us in October 2015.  During his build, Chris has deployed to Afghanistan twice, moved home once and become a proud Dad to baby Oliver, who we featured on the GBS blog shortly after he was born.  Chris has built his Zero in a garage without power or lighting so has been restricted to when he could work on it, however he still managed to finish it in 2 and a half years!

Chris has a 2l Ford Zetec engine which he hydro-dipped himself in the family bath – His wife wasn’t too happy!  He has a 4D carbon fibre effect wrap on the sides and rear, and a kawasaki green scuttle, and bonnet – all of which he wrapped himself. The two special parts of Chris’ Zero build are that the chassis number matches the last 3 digits of his Army number – by pure chance, and also his cherished number plate.  We would like to say Congratulations to Chris on completing his Zero build and look forward to receiving more photos from him out and about enjoying his Zero, and will hopefully be joining us in his Zero in June at GBS Summer Cars and Coffee event.

This Saturday (21st April) is the GBS Track Day at Rockingham which is now full, but you are still welcome to join us. More details can be found on our events page.

We are always busy at the GBS Factory, and we like to share with you what is going on both at the factory and behind the scenes. So why not follow us on FacebookTwitter @GBSCars and Instagram and now we are also on Pinterest.
