On Saturday (10th December) we held our GBS Christmas event at the GBS Factory, on the day the GBS Showroom, Workshop and Machine Shop and Kit Spares Shop were all open. It was great to see so many people and lots of new faces, we apologise if we did not get chance to talk to you all as it was a very busy day!

We were also delighted that Bernd and the team were able to join us for the weekend from Germany and we think you will all agree the food (Currywurst, German Sausages in bread rolls along with Gluhwein) they were cooking and serving for us all was excellent and enjoyed by everyone along with all the tea, coffee, Christmas Cake and Mince Pies that also went down well.

The weather could not have been better for us and was ideal for the sports cars to be out the garage, the car park was full with people and sports cars which at one point was over flowing. We had a lot of GBS Zero’s along with many Westfield, Tiger and Robin Hood Sports Cars as well as a very nice Nissan GTR, Porche 911 and other sports cars. There was also two other cars that made an appearance  on the day that attracted a lot of attention, GBS Customer Nigel Hollis has a great collection of cars including a Morgan sports car which have done some work on for him in the past in the GBS Workshop. But on the day he arrived in his steam car, which is over 100 years old and he also got a friend to drive his Ford Model A. We wonder what he will be driving at our events in the new year!!

We would like to say a big  thank you to you all for joining us, and hope you enjoyed the day. If you were unable to make the Open Day remember that you are always welcome to come and see us at the GBS Factory anytime, we don’t have any mince pies left but we always have plenty of biscuits if you visit before Christmas!

Please see below some photos from the day, and more photos can now be seen on our GBS Facebook page.
