Last week it was lovely to receive an email from GBS Customer Lewis Buckle regarding his recent visit and service from GBS. As you all know we are a small team and value all our customers, we are not perfect but always try to do our best, and its always nice to receive a nice positive email for the work that we do!

My Zero Experience……

I just thought I’d put some words down on an email on my experience with GBS and my zero build.
I’ve been buying various bits from GBS for a number of years with my Robin Hood and then decided to take the plunge and buy my first “new build “. At the various kitcar shows I’ve spoken to Richard on the options available and at I think a TKC track day me and Richard shook hands on a deal. And I was welcomed into the ZERO owners club.

I was told to give Keith a call to have a chat on what I wanted ( no pressure no hard sell) Now me and Keith had spoken many times and there’s always a laugh to be had in one form or another. And on Monday afternoon the call was made .

I always had a plan of how the car should look and what I wanted and an order was duly placed. Throughout the process I was kept informed of what stage the build was at and what was happening as in the chassis was made and now off to powder coating etc right up to the point of it’s ready when do you want to collect !

Needless to say I was there the following weekend And was greeted by Richard and Steve. Every box was ticked off as it went on the van ( with plenty of tea on offer) So the zero was home and time to build it .With the currant work schedule I was a weekend builder. I completed my zero in 6 weekends working Saturday and Sundays in daylight hours Then it was time for the IVA, this was arranged with Ruth, moneys was paid and a date arrived The car was taken back to GBS as a few bits for the IVA were required and in hind sight I was just lazy !

The car was dropped off and myself ,Mat and Richard had a look over the car quickly with the promise of Matt calling Monday to let me know what was required. Monday afternoon came and the call from Matt arrived with the list – nut covers – a few trim bits – windscreen removal etc But nothing to drastic.

The car passed on its first attempt and a number plate was allocated from the DVLA All in all I can’t fault the service I’ve received from GBS and have sent this email as you only hear of the “bad “ side of a company, I’ve personally never had a problem with anyone at GBS and Simon is and continues to be a mindful of knowledge on the forum.
