It’s been a busy start to the new year for the GBS team, but also very exciting with lots of things happening. Last week we had our local MP Mark Spencer come and visit us to see how we have developed and looked at our new projects that we have planned.

His visit to GBS also attached a lot of attention which saw Peter Saull Political Reporter from BBC Radio Nottingham, East Midlands Today and Sunday Politics join us where he interviewed Mark Spencer and both Keith & Richard. We also welcomed local newspapers The Nottingham Evening Post and The Newark Advertiser which captured the visit.

We were delighted that  that Dr Viv Stephens from the Niche Vehicle Network was able to join us. We would like to thank Viv and the team at NVN. GBS were successful in a recent  NVN competition with a composite programme.

Mark, Viv and all the reporters, photographers enjoyed a tour of the GBS facilities and were very impressed with what we do as a company. Below are a few words from MP Mark Spencer…

‘’GBS are a fantastic local business creating jobs in this community, and for me that is the single biggest priority for this area. They deserve more credit and publicity for the work that they do. Medium-sized businesses like this are the ones creating real career opportunities for the youngsters coming out of Dukeries College and other local schools.

‘‘It’s really exciting to have a business like this in Ollerton that are amongst the best around, and are exporting their products all around the world. This is a business that can continue to grow, can take advantage of some of the new opportunities we’ll see in the coming years as our trade relationships change, and I hope they can keep creating jobs in my constituency!’’

As you know we are all very passionate about we do and we are very lucky to have such a great team at GBS. This is an exciting time at GBS with our future projects taking place over the 2017.
