This weekend was our GBS Summer Open Day and Track Day at Rockingham that we had been arranging for months, it was a fantastic weekend and great to see so many people over the weekend. We would like to thank you all for coming and for your support.
Our summer open day on Saturday was also a celebration for 10 years of the GBS Zero sports car so it was extra special. It was the ideal opportunity to come and meet the GBS team , look around the GBS Workshop, Machine Shop and Show Room as well as the Kit Spares Shop & showroom & enjoy a passenger ride in our Zero demonstrators. The weather wasn’t great in the morning for our Summer Open Day which we think put several people off joining us in their sports cars, but it soon brightened up and there were some nice sports cars in the car park. The homemade cakes also went down very well, including the special GBS cakes that we made for the weekend!
We also held a raffle on the day for a fantastic prize that has kindly donated by Rockingham which was a Family Ticket to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) that is held 26th & 27th August….. The lucky winner was Sam Evans.
On Sunday we had another early start as we were at Rockingham for the GBS Track Day which was a fantastic day. We were joined by Gary Terza, Neil Wade, Andrew Glover, Mike Power, Ian & Dominic Wills and Andrew Buxton in their Zero’s as well as their family and friends. It was also great to see many other customers who are currently building their Zero’s also join us and enjoy a few laps in the Zero’s. They all looked great out on the track together and performed well attracting allot attention. All the GBS team were busy all day out in the Zero demonstrator doing passenger rides and just enjoying the Zero on the track themselves. Please see below a few photos from the weekend, More photos from the weekend will be shared on the GBS Facebook page later this week.
Over the weekend we provided free refreshments and collected for our two chosen charities which are are The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and now also Cancer Research UK. Once we know how much money we have raised we will let you know. Thank you to you all for your kind donations.
The next event that we have at the GBS Factory is our Cars, Coffee & Cake event that is happening on Saturday 23rd September.
Thank you again to everyone that joined us and supported us making it a great weekend, we hope you all enjoyed it too and we look forward to seeing you again soon! We also hope to be confirming another track day date very soon!
